Chiropractor, Dr. Jose Guevara, leader in Miami's health care community

“He is a very fine doctor, and a man of character — greatly respected in the community and the profession,” said Dr. Norlan Torres, a close friend and colleague of Guevara, both in private practice and members of the Florida Chiropractic Association.

Dr. Guevara believes that being active in local groups is essential. "By being visible and taking part in the life around you, you become and established personality and a mentor to others; a citizen who functions as a vital part of the community. No matter how small or large the community is - school buildings, transportation operations, and utility franchises all require the voices of responsible citizen groups."

Being involved in the community is something that is a part of Dr. Guevara’s character, said longtime friend Carlos Lopez. He cares about the well-being and health of Miami residents.

“He is not a person just to sit by and watch things go by, he wants to be a part of it,” Lopez said.

"You never know how far reaching something you say or do today, will affect the lives of people around you tomorrow", states Dr. Guevara. "Never underestimate the power of your actions. With one small gesture, you can truly change a person’s life. That's why I wake up every morning and make it my mission to serve my community."
