Ahmedabad:Ahmedabad based Claris Lifesciences Ltd.initiated a “3” day training session for “380” newly recruited Traffic Assistants (also called the Traffic Brigade) to train them thus better control the traffic situation in the city.

This workshop was carried out in association with Ahmedabad Traffic Departmentat Tagore Hall, Paldi. Several well known trainers were invited to impart knowledge and train these “Brigade Members”. The distinguished people included Mr. R.K.Chopra, Mr. B.N. Dastoor & Wing Commander Lakhan Pal.

On this occasion Mrs. Beena Handa, Mentor Organization Building , Claris Lifesciences said “It is our pleasure to help the Ahmedabad Traffic Department in their endeavor to minimize traffic problems in the city. We support the cause of infusing manpower, thus strengthening the department. This process will lead to greater awareness and discipline in people to follow traffic rules. The discipline will lead to becoming a habit. It is a win-win process for trafficpolice department and civilians.”

Commenting on this initiative, the Joint Commissioner of Traffic Police, Ahmedabad, Mr. Atul Karwal said “We are in deed thankful to receive support and willingness from Claris towards this cause. Through this valued training that my people will receive, I am confident that the traffic in the city will be handled more professionally & also in a friendlier manner.”

Background: Recently, Ahmedabad traffic department had put forward to various Corporate houses to fund the Traffic Brigade (i.e. 380 additional traffic assistants) to be hired to solve the manpower shortage in controlling the city’s traffic. “Ahmedabad Traffic Trust” has been incorporated which gathers funding for these activities from Corporate houses
