Schihl also spoke on the release of Dominion: First Intermission earlier this week.

“The purpose of ‘First Intermission’ is to provide the Dominion reader with a reference to assist with the multiplicity of characters, settings, and scenarios throughout the series. We intend to have an updated ‘Intermission’ available up to a week before the release of each new book in the series.”

In respect to TCC’s previous promotion, where the first book in the series, Seed, was made available for free download through July 13, Schihl commented,

“In discussing with our people at Sacrata Dei Press, as well as the author, we have decided to continue this promotion through the end of the year, offering up to 1000 free downloads. Our desire is to increase readership, and this has been an effective initiative in drawing readers into the 'Dominion' series in a manner which, on their part, is risk free.”

The Dominion Project is the first effort of newcomer to the apocalyptic fiction genre, Compasse. The seven book series weaves vivid supernatural imagery within contemporary geopolitical scenarios, viewed through the eyes and experiences of well-developed characters of diverging beliefs and backgrounds. It is thought-provoking - even incendiary - in its willingness to delve into controversial subjects and disturbing realties. Though the author is clear that this work is pure fiction, his read of "the signs of the times" proposes a future world that seems to be not only prophetic, but perhaps even likely.
