FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) July 21, 2009 --
Geeky.es (URL http://geeky.es/) is relatively new to the online world. Based in various parts of the United States, the firm's service entered public Beta last June and is now exiting its Beta stage, meaning it's ready to take on your computer and technology questions. Support topics range from help using various operating systems (Windows, Linux, and Mac OS X) to help setting up networks, printers, and other devices, to advice on choosing the right kind of computer or consumer electronic to buy. According to the website, Geeky.es is primarily made for people less familiar with computers and technology who need some quick help.
"We are proud to finally exit the Public Beta," says the service's co-developer and designer. "We can now provide fast technical help on a wide range of topics to help many people when they need it most. Additionally, since the service is comprised of helpful technology enthusiasts working in their spare time, we are able to provide a service that is both less expensive and of a higher quality than other tech support services available online."
To use the service, a you need only go to http://geeky.es and fill out a short form with the question, without any prior registration, payment or sign-up needed. Once a "Geek" is available (which could range from half a minute to half a day depending on when you ask), you will receive an email containing an activation link that opens up a webpage with a chat widget, allowing you to have an instant-messaging conversation with the technician. You may then choose to pay just $15 for the entire support session, or you may choose to be billed on an honor system at a relatively low rate of $0.60 (USD) per minute at the conclusion of the session, assuming a satisfactory solution or answer was provided.
