Chirayath is a Visiting Scholar at the Stanford Program on Global Justice and has a B.A. in African Development Studies from Harvard University . She blogs at leilac.com and at Social Edge.

Also featured will be projectdiaspora.org co-founder TMS Ruge . He is currently working with several indigenous farmer organizations in Uganda to help them move from subsistence farming to large-scale commercial farming. Mr Ruge blogs frequently about the African ICT sectors and it’s effects on development. He has also served on several panel discussions related to Africa and Africa’s emerging technology space. He

received a Communication Design degree from the University of North Texas.

Mr Ruge is a Ugandan record-holder in the decathlon and pole vault and, formerly, the high jump. He was also a one-time Ugandan Olympic hopeful in the decathlon. Born in Masindi, Uganda to a Sudanese father and a Ugandan mother, he grew up in Uganda, Kenya and Dallas, TX.
