Tamika (Singsation) is an artist with many years of vocal talent. Her style has been described to be neo and classic soul with a new age twist. For over twenty years she has been contributing her voice to the local churches, such as a key vocalist in Enon Tabernacle Choir, talent shows, and singing for charitable events. She has performed at many local popular venues such as North by northwest as a feature artist, Expressions and Champagnes night club. Once recently a member of the group “Tough Act” she found herself contained into a stereotype that she broke free from to continue doing her own new age projects.
Tamika also has her own poetry book “words from the heart” which she has sold independently to many fans along the way.

Her self entitled first album in 2005 Tamika the New Singsation was produced by her own label she started... there are allot of different types of music in this cd. Songs included “gotta do it, neosoul, I found him, lovin you is hard to do and also Baby”

The same year she began a company called “Get the word out”. A venue to

showcase all genres of underground artists. The show was held at places such as The Living Arts in North Philadelphia, NXNW, and at her own places in the northeast and Mt Airy. It would host Hip Hop, R&B, Soul, Spoken word, dancers, live bands that needed a place to perform, network and gain new fans. Get the word out began in 2005 In Philadelphia and has been growing in the area ever since. Artists have come from 10 different states just to perform there. The event is now one of the hottest showcases in Philadelphia.
Throughout the years she has lent a hand to many artists and bands, assisting them with background vocals for their projects and performing with them on stage.
In 2007 Singsation collaborated and produced the album “Positively Hypnotic” which includes the now underground smash “Control of me”. It also includes Jamaican Love, and “Feel the same”.

Singsation Proves Rich In Talent And Unafraid To Use It. There are a lot of great assets in this artist. Start with the warm, whispering-in-your-ear quality of her throaty sound. Add the relaxed sense of swing she brings to all her phrasing. And don't forget her capacity to improvise everything from melodic paraphrase to riff-driven scatting.
