Curry’s Auto Service in Virginia completes specialized training and enhances its website to become "Certified Female Friendly" by AskPatty.com.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) July 29, 2009 --
Northern Virginia - Curry’s Auto Service is now "Certified Female Friendly.” Curry’s family-run business is the first auto service center in Virginia to complete training designed by AskPatty.com, a national program created to provide women with information on auto purchases, repairs and maintenance. Curry's operates five facilities in Northern Virginia: Arlington, Chantilly, Falls Church, Gainesville, and Reston/Great Falls, Virginia.
Along with the training and certification, Curry’s Auto Service has enhanced its website to assist, support, inform and to reinforce their commitment to the Ask Patty Program. The new website (http://femalefriendlydealer.askpatty.com/?d=Currys_Auto_Service) can be accessed easily by clicking on the “Certified Female Friendly” icon on Curry’s homepage.
“Ask Patty certified service centers create an inviting and comfortable environment where women feel welcome,” says Jody DeVere, CEO and founder of the Ask Patty program. “Our certification guarantees that the experience of repairing and maintaining a vehicle will be a pleasant one. Ask Patty trained and certified associates are qualified to provide a high level of customer satisfaction with women consumers.”
DeVere is an expert in social media marketing to women and president of the Woman’s Automotive Association International. With its Certified Female Friendly program, AskPatty.com helps automotive organizations build, develop and maintain a high-performance workforce aimed at improving communication with women by offering online interactive training. To achieve certified status, Curry’s personnel completed more than 28 hours of training on how to better meet the needs and expectations of the woman consumer.
"We have created a very family-friendly atmosphere at our service facilities,” says President and Founder Matt Curry. “Our refurbished interactive customer waiting area feature toys for toddlers, Play Station 2 for the teens and kids, free shuttle service and Wi-Fi connections for the working moms and dads. When my wife Judy, our vice president of marketing, found out about the Ask Patty program, she knew we needed to become involved. It’s a natural for us!”
"Women are not the same as men, and they do not base their consumer decisions in the same way as men,” says DeVere. “Business Week reports that women make over 80 percent of the buying decisions in U.S. households today. In effect, they have become nearly every family's chief purchasing officer."
