Free email ad is the best but many people do not know how to use free email advertising. There are some things that you need to know about advertising through email.

Free email advertising is one of the most effective tools in promoting your product and service to the entire business world. Success in business greatly depends on marketing and advertising. Advertising can be classified into two types: paid and free. Of the two, free advertising is widely preferred by small scale business people due to lack of financial matters. This can be done through many means: free classifieds, banner ads and free email ads. Of the three, free email is the best, cheap and fastest means of publicizing a business to common people. But many people fail in using free electronic mail for publicizing purposes. There are 3 reasons why people fail while using free email advertising.

Auto responders can fail you. When you send out free electronic mails, people will get back to you with their queries. Auto responders are a great way of letting your customers know that they are important. Unfortunately, they have only one response. You cannot have different auto responders addressing every type of query. For example, you can send out auto responders saying that this query is important to you and you will get back to them shortly.

What if, your customer wants information on a particular product immediately? Then they will have to wait until you read their mail and get back to them. They may not appreciate the auto responder asking them to wait for the response.

Be careful when you use free auto responders. Sometimes they may have an ad attached along with your message. That is not a good idea as it may promote your competition. So use one that is free of such attached ads.

Spamming is another reason why people fail while using online mailing ads. There are good chances that your email with product details can get mistaken as spams. Most mail services have spam filters and when you send your ad in bulk, there is a possibility that your email will get blocked by a filter. To avoid this mistake, always ask your customers to include your id in their list of contacts.

On no account send unsolicited mails. Build up a mailing list. This may take time but the results can be tremendous. Your already existing customers are the ones most likely to buy more of your products. You can also buy a mailing list from agents. Only make sure they are legitimate or you will end up sending unwelcome mails to unknown people. Also it may put them off your products and lessen your product’s market worth.

Timing is everything, especially in marketing. When you send out your email ads you can never be sure when your customer is going to open the mail. They may be away on vacation and thereby may lose out on your limited period offer. Or else they just might not consider your email worth opening, even if they have subscribed to it. So make the subject interesting. Send them out with titles like “free”, “amazing offers” and “act fast to avail offer”.
