The journal is edited by Anne Haw Holt, whose writing credits include, Silver Creek, an old fashioned western novel, Parenting From Inside, and (editor) 101Ways.

Ms. Holt, her Assistant Editor, and several Florida State University students will write reviews. The WesternFictionReview will only consider "family-friendly" western novels.

The journal also includes columns by Ms Holt and others called WesternLore offering factual information for writers on the land, trees, shrubs and other aspects of the west. There is also a column called Cowboy Stuff that will discuss cowboy accoutrements such as spurs, clothing, saddles, guns, and other gear necessary for the cowboy way of life.

The WesternFictionReview is only published electronically at this time, but there will be a printed issue beginning in the fall. This journal will focus on western fiction, reviewing in a niche that has been neglected for several years. Works in English, Spanish and French will be considered.

Submissions of proposals (with four sample columns--200-300 words each) of other Western Lore columns are welcomed. Proposals will be accepted only by email. No attachments will be opened. Paste your work in the body of your email and send it to ahholt@ahholt.com . The review will also consider short pieces (200-300 words) of family-friendly western humor. By line is the only payment offered at this time.
