Responding to the continued need and concern for adequate and accessible health care and it\'s link to student achievement, the Norwood Healthy Start Program has planned a Health and Peace Family Festival. Numerous local health service providers will be in attendance, including USC School of Dentistry, St. John\'s Well Child Center, Esperanza Community Housing Corporation and many more. Services provided will range from dental screenings, immunizations, health insurance enrollment, and lead screenings. The day\'s events also feature a number of exciting children\'s activities highlighting Norwood Street School\'s Peacemaker Projects. Norwood Healthy Start is a school-based program that leverages resources of a collaborative of over 35 community organizations in an innovative service delivery model aimed at reducing barriers to learning. The program has a six-year successful track record serving the needs of Norwood students, families and community members and has developed a long lasting partnership with the entire school community.
