Gospel Community Invited to Vote Now for 2004 Urban Gospel Industry Awards



OAKLAND CA. 02/15/04 With the rapid approaching of the Urban Gospel Alliance sponsored Urban Gospel Industry (UGI) Awards comes the official opening of the ballot nominations for your favorite urban gospel artists. The general public is invited to go online and vote now for who they think should be nominated for categories ranging from holy hip hop to contemporary gospel, and from comedy to inspirational jazz.



The UGI Awards, held during the last night of the Urban Gospel Industry Awards & Conference from July 14th - 17th in Riverside, CA, is a true people's choice awards. Artists will only make it to the official ballot if you - the voting public - give them enough votes to do so.



Sponsored by StreamingFaith (http://www.streamingfaith.com) , the official online ballot can be accessed by going to the Urban Gospel Alliance site (http://www.urbangospelalliance.com ) and clicking on "Nominations" from the UGI Conference popup. For those that have pop-ups disabled, you can still reach the ballot through the "UGI Conference" link in the main navigation bar that's on every page.



While the nominee process is open to the entire Gospel community, final voting to decide the UGI Award winners will be solely by voting UGA members. Official nominees will be announced during the Dr. Bobby Jones Gospel Industry Retreat in May of 2004 and will be posted on the UGA site.



Just like tax day is just around the corner, so is the final day of voting for the UGI Awards. Get your vote in now before April 15, 2004 and let your voice be heard.
