PREACHER NOT AFRAID TO TALK ABOUT POLITICS OR RELIGION
Minister Travels the US Sharing the Christian Perspective on a Variety of Topics
FORT SMITH, AK—While homosexuality, same sex marriages, politics, pre-marital sex, race relations and general Christian conduct may frighten away a lesser man of God, Minister William James Carter the 1st tackles these controversial issues head-on. As publisher of The Christian Perspective (TCP), a newsletter that looks at today’s issues from a Christian point of view, Carter shares with others throughout the country what the Word of God has to say on almost any topic facing today’s society.
Carter began in January 2002 to dedicate his time and talents to God’s work. His Fort Smith, Arkansas location allows him to travel to venues across the Midwest and other parts of the United States in less than a day. Congregations seeking insight into God’s Word welcome Carter’s sincere, heartfelt messages, and his warm, candid style.
Presentations are customized and adapted to the needs of each individual church and age group. Topics may be designed to encourage youth, cheer and support young married couples, or give confidence to mature men and women. Lectures focus on foundational Christian principles and are given in a style most everyone understands.
The Christian Perspective, Minister Carter’s print “voice,” offers focus, discussion, and study on many aspects of Christianity as well. TCP shares Biblical viewpoints that encompass areas of need and concern for today’s world. In addition, TCP offers answers to problems faced by individuals, communities, and our nation as a whole. New and well-known Christian writers are sought to provide enriching. Joni Eareckson Tada, of Joni and Friends, an organization created to minister to the disabled Christian community, is one author considering writing for TCP.
And TCP is avidly seeking other original Christian writings through an Essay Writing Contest offering prizes up to $200. The contest asks seeks entrants who can craft original material for use in evangelistic outreach and provides a wonderful opportunity for new and established writers to share Christian ideals while contributing to the spiritual lives of others.
Carter’s goal in word and in print is to "challenge Christians to be Christians." To that end, his discussions may raise some eyebrows and even cause an occasional uproar. They're not likely to lull anyone to sleep.
