How to convert audio tracks between various file formats


Before going through this subject, we suggest you read the section named : How to best choose the compression formats to use less hard disk space while maintaining quality ? This will provide you with valuable information on the formats alternatives.

To convert files, you can select them with the multiple selection feature (please refer to the section What is the multiple selection in the previous chapter). When you selected them, click on them with the right mouse button and select either :

Convert and Replace: this will convert the files and remove the former ones from the Music Database. You can also select that the former ones be removed from the hard disk as well.

Convert To: in this case, you have to select an output folder and can have them added to the Music Database as well.

You need to select which output format you would like them to be converted in. By pressing OK or the return bar, Virtuosa will start the process and will convert each track in sequence, one after the other.
