Amman – September 2004 – Jordan Commercial Bank announced that Dr. Jawad Al-Hadeed was elected as the new Chief Executive Officer and General Manager by the Board of Directors, effective September 1, 2004.

Dr. Al-Hadeed brings extensive banking and international business experience to the Jordan Commercial Bank. He held the position of General Manager of the Arab Banking Corporation since its establishment in 1990 up until 2000, prior to that, he held the position of General Manager of the Foreign Finance Unit for the Arab Investment Company in Bahrain from 1989 – 1990. In addition, Dr. A-Hadeed held various prestigious positions in the private and public sector such as Minister of Planning, chairman and member of numerous Boards of Directors for financial and investment entities on a local and regional scale.

Dr. Al-Hadeed’s financial and business expertise were exemplified when he was a founding member in a number of banking corporations, and he was also involved in nourishing certain financial establishments back operational health. He began accumulating his broad business and professional credentials when he received his CIB license from the university in London. He has published 15 different books and has lectured on various financial and banking issues on a local and regional scale.
