Advent Global announces new variant of innovative BreakAway design of fast food carrier bag

For_Immediate_Release:

Granada, Spain – 23 September 2004 -- Advent Global has announced a variant on its ground breaking BreakAway design for fast food bags. BreakAway™ Lite uses the company’s innovative idea of a tablecloth fixed to the outside of the bag but simplifies the design to reduce costs or adapt it for use on existing bags.
“During tour discussions with some of the multinational fast food companies,” says Laurence Seidler, the CEO of Advent Global, “we realised that our patented design could be adapted to create a variant for companies wanting a lower cost bag or to use an existing bag design. The beauty of our patent is that it is a fundamental one enabling a multitude of variants to be created using the core patent.”
The initial BreakAway bag design has two detachable sheets fixed to the outside of the bag that form handles for the bag. These also create pouches to hold ancillary items such as cutlery, napkins, condiments, flyers etc. These items can be factory inserted to cut down on wasteful over stuffing by staff at the point of service. When removed, the sheets form a tablecloth providing a clean surface upon which the food is placed. This enhances the user experience making for more civilised eating.
BreakAway Lite is simplified to a single sheet that is attached to the outside of a bag. The integral handles are not included in this design which reduces production costs whilst still giving all the benefits of increased advertising area, neat storage and control of ancillary items, and the all important tablecloth feature.
“BreakAway has created a tremendous stir in the market,” concludes Laurence Seidler. “Within a few weeks of its launch, virtually every major fast food company has called us requesting samples and we have already moved on to preliminary licensing discussions with some of them. One has even expressed an interest on taking a first refusal option for the designs for other products that are already in the pipeline. Advent Global is firmly on its path to becoming a major force in the design industry.”
Advent estimates that BreakAway Lite will only cost slightly more than a traditional bag. This additional cost would be more than offset by the savings on cost control of inserts, enhanced brand image, speedier service and increased advertising potential.
The rights to BreakAway Lite are available to buy from Advent Global.
