New Site Assembles Nation’s Best Crafters

From California to Connecticut With The Click Of A Mouse

The onset of Autumn brings with it cooler temperatures – and the ever-popular Craft Show season. Artisans and Crafters will offer their wares in shows, expos, and bazaars all across the country, hoping to cash in on Holiday sales. But a growing group of web-savvy crafters are saying goodbye to those frantic Fall weekends – in favor of a new virtual marketplace that offers all the benefits of a craft show, without ever leaving home.

Marketplace Gallery, Ltd., a virtual arts and crafts marketplace and resource site, features over 40 arts and crafts disciplines. Whether you are a quilter, painter, or fabric artist – you can set up your own “Gallery” shop quickly and easily. And, unlike a limited run at a traditional gallery, or the limited hours of a local craft show, your artistic wares are available for purchase twenty four hours a day. A variety of packages are offered, to appeal to every business and budget.

“Membership at Marketplace Gallery allows artisans to focus on creating, while leaving the task of design, marketing and promotion of their sites to us,” explained Gallery Curator Traci Hayner Vanover. “Crafters with existing websites have found that Partner Listings with us have resulted in traffic increases of over 25%,” she added.

Among the services available to members are free articles and crafter’s classifieds, banner exchanges, and the opportunity to participate in joint venture marketing projects. Several times per year, members are invited to place a group ad in special interest publications catering to their target market. Cost sharing has enabled smaller businesses to advertise in publications that they may not be able to afford otherwise. The venue is optimized for, and submitted to, the Search Engines – maintaining high rankings in a number of keyword search phrases.

The creative membership at Marketplace Gallery also endeavor to give something back to the community. Throughout the month of October, a portion of the proceeds of products in the “Crafting For A Cause” shop will be donated to the Susan G. Komen fund, benefiting Breast Cancer Research.
