Team Marie Curie, the North of England’s most successful Mountain Bike Racing Team have just launched a new website to raise awareness of their involvement in fundraising for Marie Curie Cancer Care in Bradford.
The bike team set up in 1999 has now raised over £150,000 for Marie Curie, and continues to be active in raising the profile and awareness of the charity both locally and nationally. Members of the team race in bright orange and blue strips and regularly organise events to raise money for the cancer charity.
The new site can be found at www.teammariecurie.com and has been developed by Bradford based New Media company Massive.co.uk. The site includes the team profile, updateable news, fitness motivational tips and fundraising support. Massive.co.uk Designer Jamie Pittock says: “It’s fantastic to be able to support the Team and help raise awareness for Marie Curie on an international level”
The site has been developed to offer both ease of navigation, interesting content and a direct link with the Marie Curie main site. It is hoped that by using the site supporters of Marie Curie can publicise their events and raise even more publicity for Marie Curie.
Team rider Johnny Ratcliffe says: “It’s really great being involved with the team. In traditional Yorkshire fashion we have built a really close team and all riders work together to achieve great things. It’s fantastic for normal people like us to say that we have now raised over £150,000 for Marie Curie”
