The digital repository includes training history and images of exams and other documents for over 1 million training participants. Students of those program can now use this service to verify their training status, employers can validate applicants, and HCI can access and manage the certifications they have granted.
Describing the reason for selecting Certegrity and CSI, HCI President Adam Chafetz explains "the (Certification Manager) portal makes us unique among alcohol server training providers by letting us give a high level of customer service at a low cost to us. We provide the oldest and best-known program of this type, and so it was important for us to lead the way in using this technology to help our customers." CSI has implemented a complete self-service portal that enables TIPS trainers to obtain updated documents, see their training history and the records for those they've trained, and so forth. They even use it as a tool for their corporate customers to manage TIPS training across their enterprises.
In addition to supplying customer service, Certegrity's portal is also used as a point of sale for HCI's goods and services, and accounts for almost 15% of their sales by volume. Finally, they are in the process of extending it to serve as a starting point for the upcoming eTIPS online TIPS training program, due out in the first quarter of 2005. Chafetz added, "Compliance Solutions has been a responsive partner in helping us evolve our records keeping and online initiatives".
