The Life Coaching Association of Australia (LCAA) will be involved in a number of functions and activities. It will have a strong role in setting competency and practising standards for life coaches in Australia and be a model for the world. These standards of competency, ethics and behaviour will be set in consultation with coaches and industry subject matter experts. It will provide a centralised agency for registering life coaches, for monitoring the performance of individual coaches, for handling complaints against life coaches embodying the principles of natural justice and fairness and provide leadership in setting life coaching 'best practice' principles.
Mr Labour is in a unique position to lead the founding of this organisation having for the past two years the No.1 rated web site world-wide in Google for Life and Executive Coaching. Currently these are 1,300,000 other web sites listed. Mr Labour's web site is a world class resource for coaches and their clients. It provides a comprehensive treatment of life coaching suitable for use in most coaching situations. Mr Labour has created this site to both further the understanding of life coaching around the world and to provide a framework and structure for coaching interactions.
There are 5 grades of membership of the LCAA (Fellow, Master, Associate, Student & Guest) and two streams — a life coaching and an executive coaching stream. Membership can be for either stream or both based on practice experience. International life and executive coaches are also welcome to apply for membership.
During the year, the LCAA will hold by invitation to members and guests various sessions comprising workshops, seminars and discussion forums. These will be held at a location and venue convenient to members. Wide use of such medium as video conferencing, web casting and video/audio streaming and mobile technology will be used wherever possible to augment services provided in a live format. Coaching retreats will also be held regularly during the year.
Additional activities including the running of the Life Coaches Without Borders program and various funds under this program such as the Life Coaches Without Borders Building Fund which works to provide aid as required to communities around the world as required by natural disasters, poverty and neglect.

In pursuit of his worldwide life and executive coaching activities he is hosting an Executive Coaching Retreat and Workshop in Mauritius in June, 05. This has not been affected by the recent events in South-East Asia.
