SpivO News opens to the writting public

For_Immediate_Release:

Tampa, FL – March 9, 2005 – SpivO has undergone extreme advancements since getting purchased by Ybor City Telco of Tampa Florida. Searches are climbing 400% every month along with extreme SpivO.com usag. An objective for SpivO has always been to modify their news system, SpivO News.

SpivO News, like many other online news sources, is made up of live news feeds from multiple publications. While SpivO believes that was a good way to start, now it is time to simply grow up. In a company statement issued to SpivO users March 8, 2005, SpivO’s chief minds said, “…being different is our main objective. SpivO had the basics needed to be called a search engine. Now we are staking claim to our independence. We don’t aspire to be like Yahoo, Google, or MSN. We aspire to be like SpivO.”

The first step in “staking claim to [their] independence” was made in the SpivO News Center today. After shutting down SpivO News for nearly six hours, the interactive SpivO News Center is live. Prior to now, SpivO had a separate web page where they would display submitted press releases. All press release submissions were maintained by the SpivO News editor. With the SpivO News Center, they’re asking for more than just press releases, SpivO wants news.

“Anybody with something to say can now print their voice on SpivO News under any of our categories. When someone submits news or press releases, it is displayed under that category next to other relevant news. This brings far more credibility to our SpivO News writers than what could be achieved in a blog.”

What does it take to become a SpivO News journalist? A name, a nickname, and an email address. For now, SpivO News plans on practicing liberal censorship on published media. News can also include pictures. They expressed in their user statement “…we are opening up an opportunity for anybody who wants to write news. We hope that people act professionally when writing news and press releases for SpivO News. As long as our writers don’t abuse the freedom we are extending and follow the fives rules posted in the SpivO News Center, we will continue to freely open SpivO News to the writing public.”
