Mr. Richard Smith, CEO of Coronado Industries, said that the launching of the website was an integral part of an overall plan to establish Ophthalmic International as an identifiable company in the ophthalmic device arena. “Following the receipt of our CE mark and the subsequent introduction of PNT into the European marketplace, we recognized the need to establish an identifiable ‘ophthalmic’ presence in the marketplace. As a result of our decision to partner with local and regional partners across Europe and the rest of the world, there is also a need for a single place where our partners and their customers can go to for support. This website is one way in which we are trying to meet this need,” he said,

Dr. John W. Sharkey, President of Ophthalmic International said he was pleased to finally have a website dedicated to the subsidiary and PNT. “A web presence is essential to doing business in today’s global marketplace. Customers expect to have a single place where they can ask questions, inquire about replacement parts, download replacement manuals, inquire about service, locate distributors, etc. Since our marketing and sales efforts utilize exclusive distributorships prospective customers need to know whom to contact in their specific country or region. We are marketing and distributing our products under the Ophthalmic International name so our PNT equipment carries the Ophthalmic International logo, having a dedicated website just made sense” he said.

Dr. Sharkey said that the company will continue to look for ways to improve the content and make the website relevant for both our distributors and their customers.
