In 1999 a brother in California placed the following ad: "My step-father took my sister on a false premise of taking her to Disneyland approximately 18 years ago. She was only six years old at the time. He called from Missouri six hours later and said that we would never see her again. The last known whereabouts of her are in Missouri. They apparently relocated to an unknown location. We, my mother and I, have not seen my sister in many years. We have missed her tremendously and feel a void in our lives. I have just had my first daughter and our mother has also had another child since the disappearance of my sister. I named my first daughter after my sister. I would like to be a part of her life. We have tried for many years to find her."

Last week police Sgt. Chad Meli of the Heber Springs, Arkansas police department emailed Norma Tillman. He personally knew the missing girl and her father's family in Arkansas. Sgt. Meli explained that the missing girl's father died recently and that he was on the internet searching for his obituary. When he entered the name on the Google search engine it took him to the missing person web site at www.get-in-touch.com and the message to the missing girl from her brother. The police Sgt. provided contact information for the girl who now resides in Texas.

For many years Norma has provided hundreds of reunions from her web site to numerous television shows. She has specialized in locating missing persons for over twenty years and is the author of several books. Additionally she has traveled the country giving speeches and continuing educational seminars to professional investigators, law-enforcement, and attorneys.
According to Tillman "I realize the value of finding a missing loved one. It really makes a difference in the lives of those who have a void in their life due to not being able to find a missing loved one. Living with the unknown can be very traumatic. As long as there is a void their life is often out of balance. Once the missing person is found the void is filled and their lives are complete. Regardless of the truth, it really does set you free. Putting a closure to the past or unknown is a great sense of relief."
