For_Immediate_Release:
Omega Unfold has released version 1.4 of Webcam Zone Trigger, a PC-based software that puts a twist on motion detection. Instead of detecting any movement, anywhere, The user places Hot Spots on the image being monitored. Each Hot Spot can then be configured to take certain actions when triggered by motion. This "object-oriented" approach provides a very user-friendly interface, as the user will not have to deal with endless menus and setting dialogs or wizards.
Detailed logging, remote-view on the Internet using any web-browser, automatic startup when the computer is turned on and running hidden and only a few of the options provided by Zone Trigger. Features such as saving screen captures as video files and automatic image capture make it a useful software even if there was no motion detection. Upon detecting motion, this software may perform any operation relative to image and video capture, playing sounds and running files, sending images to e-mail or FTP sites, counting, and even emulating the computer's mouse and keyboard.
Webcam Zone Trigger does not limit itself to supporting only webcams. It basically supports any capture device that can be plugged to a PC.
Says Omega Unfold founder and Zone Trigger project leader Joe Janson: "Omega Unfold seeks to create interesting and efficient products. Well aware that the only way to achieve this is to grok with the users, Unfold is committed to a personal approach with its clients and users."
Zone Trigger costs 24.95$, and the free trial version is available on www.zonetrigger.com
