Andy Lee supports Limerick boxing club

Irish boxing star Andy Lee has thrown his weight behind the local boxing club that has suddenly found itself without a premises in which to train.

The boxer has lined out with the young members of Our Lady of Lourdes boxing club who can no longer use the local Scout Hall because renovation work has begun.
According to Sean O’Neill, the chairperson of the boxing club, the club is a "vital sporting outlet” for the area’s youth. He said the children were now practising on the street.
The hall’s management group say that the centre will be refurbished and available for youth and sporting activities.
