Celebrating Asian-American Achievements

Austin, TX -- The Texas Asian Chamber of Commerce (TACC) is proud to host its 10th Annual Asian Lunar New Year Gala, Celebrating Asian-American Achievements, on Saturday, January 21, 2006 at the all-new luxurious Hilton Austin Hotel. This year’s program celebrates the achievements of Asian-Americans from the national, local, and statewide levels. The event is one you do not want to miss!

Celebrating Asian-American Achievements includes:
• Honoring celebrity Chef Martin Yan from the acclaimed PBS series, Yan Can Cook, who will be the evening’s keynote speaker and will discuss his successful career as one of the world's most honored masters of Asian cuisine. His ability to entertain both a live audience and home viewers makes him a frequent guest on many of the national talk shows such as The Today Show and The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.
• A special presentation by Dr. Oscar Gonzalez demonstrating the Asian-American Economic Impact on the State of Texas.
• An Asian-Inspired Banquet
• Silent Auction and cocktail performance by Lucretia Strings
• And a Youth Recognition Presentation.

The public is invited to start the New Year off in fashion as TACC celebrates its 10th Annual Asian Lunar New Year Gala, Celebrating Asian-American Achievements. Come celebrate with us! Any tickets purchased before December 31, 2005 will receive an Early Bird Discount. Tickets may be purchased individually or at a discounted package rate. Visit www.txasianchamber.org for more details. Net proceeds will benefit TACC’s programs of service, including participation in cultural and charitable activities.

The TACC's vision is to provide a bridge between the Asian American community and the Austin community at-large by empowering and educating its members and providing services to assist in business development.
