THE KEY CLUB AT MORONGO JOINS CELEBRATION FOR SECOND ANNUAL INLAND EMPIRE MUSIC AWARDS

“Proceeds Help Right to Rock – Dedicated to Funding Youth Music Programs”

San Bernardino, CA. (January 19, 2006) – Tonight the Inland Empire will be raving with local music fans and artists who will celebrate the 2nd Annual Inland Empire Music Awards (IEMAs) at Morongo Casino Resort and Spa’s new Key Club. Last year’s event was sold out with over 800 attendees who were there to support their local bands and check out the Inland Empire’s diverse musicianship. The IEMAs will be presented by radio station X103.9 FM and the producers of the Orange County Music Awards (OCMA) inside the Key Club at Morongo, a state-of-the-art concert facility which offers the best in entertainment. Tickets can be purchased tonight for $15.00 at the Key Club box office. A substantial portion of the proceeds generated from the show will benefit Right to Rock, a nonprofit organization dedicated to funding school music programs. Additional information can be found by logging onto www.inlandempiremusicawards.com.

The evening will prove to showcase some of the most budding musicians in the local area. Award attendees will be treated to an opening number by Temecula native and “America’s Most Talented Kids” Grand Champion winner, Antonio Pontarelli, who is also a virtuoso rock violinist at the young age of fourteen. Other performances include an array of genres such as urban sensations Stico and Da Bandit who are going to “get the party started” with their innovative beats and turntable mixes. Other performers tonight include: Bayadera, The Next, Emit 7, Top Shelf, Intake CA, Tim Moyer, Room 1202 and Floor 54.

“Tonight, we hope local musicians will benefit by getting some exposure, but it’s not really about who wins,” said Martin Brown, founder of IEMA. “There are many talented artists out there and we encourage them to use the IEMAs as a vehicle to get their music out there, it’s about establishing the network.” This year, the IEMAs received over 150 entries and will award artists in eighteen categories, everything from Best Urban to Best Electronic music. Mr. Brown also produces music award shows in Orange County, Canada and his most recent, The Southern California Music Awards.
