BASMA™ Denounces the Jyllands-Posten So-called Muhammad Cartoons

The Bay Area Shiite-Muslims Association™ (BASMA™ - http://www.basma.us) condemns in the strongest terms the creators, publishers, and sponsors of the Jyllands-Posten so-called Muhammad cartoons.

The evil depictions in these drawings are a total falsity and an absolute contradiction with reality, for Prophet Muhammad, Peace be upon him and his family, was a noble, generous, and selfless man who protected the weak, opposed the tyrant, and preached justice. As such, we consider these cartoons to be meaningless and a reflection of the desire of their creators and publishers to misrepresent the true Muhammad, Peace be upon him and his family, who was able to change the World and bring the light of God and goodness to mankind.

We call upon those who have consciousness and a desire to keep the truth evident to humanity to reject and condemn these so-called cartoons. We at the same time always denounce those so-called Muslims who have created this atmosphere of hatred and intolerance throughout the globe and associated their misdeeds and violence with Islam, the Religion of Peace. We deplore all takfiri groups and leaders especially al-Qaeda, Osama bin Laden, and Abu Musaab az-Zarkawi.
