Calgary, Alberta, Canada, February 8, 2006— Women today long for real romance, but the truth of the matter is that at the end of a busy day, romance is usually the last thing on a mother’s mind. We hope against hope that our husbands will pick up the slack, but they are just as frazzled as we are, and months can go by without a single attempt to make each other feel special and appreciated.
Romance doesn’t have to be difficult or strenuous. You just have to take time to think about each other and express appreciation and affection. You need to take time for each other regularly, and spend that time strengthening your relationship to each other.
This is usually easier said than done. Darlene Hull, the creator of the “Mom-Defrazzler” site has dedicated her February blog to solving that problem. Every day, five days a week, Darlene posts quick and simple things you can do with each other to stimulate romance in your marriage. Each of the daily posts contain:
• five “quickies” which are simple activities that stimulate romance;
• a “love habit”, which is an action that you develop into a habit over time to keep romance alive;
• and a “Valentine’s Resource” which can be just about anything that helps you enhance the “Romance Quotient” of your marriage.
There will even be a great, stress-free, original idea for celebrating Valentine’s Day on February 14th.
To stimulate the conversation and interactivity of the blog, there is also a contest happening. Every comment posted by readers is an entry ballot for the contest, and the prize is a $30 gift box of healthy chocolate – now, what could be better than that?
