Singapore idol 2006 today has announced that Diane Hamilton is this year's winner.

"I was so shocked that I was the winner", says Diane Hamilton during the press conference. During this year Singapore idol there were 5,000 contestants all fighting for the title.

Brian Hawkins, Singapore idol Chairman, said this year's event was not what they expected. Mr Hawkins had vote for more interests from the local Singaporean and was disappointed by the creativity by the contestants. He went on to say "we hope that Singapore idol 2007 will be more professional than this year's event."

The winner Diane Hamilton performed her version of Happy Birthday while joggling Flying Fish. Everyone was amazed with her joggling ability combined with her beautiful voice.

When asked what she was going to do with her new sound fame she replied that she hope to bring peace to the world to her music and joggling.
