Choices for young asthmatics

For_Immediate_Release:

Some babies or children who need asthma medicine start out on inhalers, others on nebulizers.

Studies show that both devices work, as long as they're used correctly and the right dose of medicine is given, the Nemours Foundation says.

Inhalers are smaller and require no power source, and they deliver medicine more quickly than nebulizers.

But some people feel their children get better results from a nebulizer, as you can see and feel the mist these machines spray.

Before you make the choice of one option or both, ask your doctor.
