According to students, these ten schools are the toughest to get into, and the competition doesn't stop at admissions. Find out if the school you want to attend (or went to) is on the list.

7. University of Virginia
One of the premier public universities in the country, UVA exerts a tremendous effort to make sure its undergraduates have access to an affordable education. AccessUVa is the university's financial aid program, which is committed to meeting 100 percent of every student's need and offers loan-free packages for low-income students and loan caps for all other students.
8. Texas A & M University, College Station
An icon of the Lone Star State, TAMU offers students a respected degree at an affordable price. TAMU provides need-based assistance to 98 percent of all applicants who demonstrate need, including some form of grant or scholarship. Non-need-based assistance is also available to all students.
9. University of California, Berkeley
One of top schools in the nation and best known for its research (the school boasts eight Nobel Prize-winning faculty members), Berkeley offers a Saks education at Target prices. Every year Berkeley administers nearly $100 million in need-based grants and scholarships and has found a way to meet 100 percent of demonstrated need for 51 percent of aid recipients.
10. University of Oklahoma
With recent investments in science and technology, OU has elevated its academic status from "regional" to "national." OU provides need-based assistance to 100 percent of all aid applicants who demonstrate need and meets 100 percent of demonstrated need for 46 percent of aid recipients.
