Antipodes has earned the title of one of the finest waters in the world. One reasons for this may be due to it’s stylishly fascinating bottle design. Echoing the old New Zealand beer flagon, the Antipodes bottles was secificaly design for tables at top establishments and gourmands. Antipodes is a recent gold medal winner of the Berkeley Springs International Water Contest and is widely consumed in the top New Zealand restaurants and bars. Antipodes got it’s start when founder Simon Woolley returned from six years overseas he was astounded by the stronghold of imported waters in local restaurants. The former restaurateur embarked on a search to find an ideal local mineral water. Bottled at the source, Antipodes water is drawn from deep strata of water-bearing rock (an aquifer) in the Bay of Plenty. The volcanic nature of this aquifer ensures the water is naturally filtered and low in dissolved solids, and has a soft quality. It’s highly pressured, which means that although water seeps out, contaminants are unlikely to seep in and has about a 50 year residency while filtering through a sub strata of ignimbrite. The area of recharge for the aquifer is the Rotoma Hills, which has a historically low human population density, less than 1 person per 250 acres, with no commercial or industrial activity, which means the source and it's environment is just as pure and clean as they day it was discovered.

Specifically intended as a premium dining water for restaurants, Antipodes has a soft, digestion-enhancing bead and clean finish. It’s the only New Zealand water bottled in glass to a standard acceptable to quality restaurants, and since its launch in December 2003 it has been so well received it is now available for home delivery.
