West Palm Beach, FL – September 11, 2006 – First Imperato pointed towards the source of strength for Osama Bin Laden, the poppy.
“The United States of America and its administration must immediately take action in order to further squash terrorism and terrorist attacks. I’ve spoken out before about the poppy seed in Afghanistan. The fields must be destroyed immediately in order cut off the money supply from Bin Laden and his organization al-Qaeda. It is clear to any intelligent human being that his footsteps have lead him to Afghanistan because he was broke and had no money. So he conveniently found a way to manufacture poppy and found a way to get money to develop training camps and think tanks for terrorism.”
Yet even more surprising to Imperato was the fact that the United States administration has not taken definitive action.
“I am astonished, appalled, and very personally disturbed that our president has done nothing about the poppy fields, while Americans are being attacked and killed and violence is rising once again. It is obvious that the main strength of the Taliban and its regime comes from the financial backing of the poppy plant and the knowledge of Bin Laden with the organizational assistance from al-Qaeda. THE POPPY FIELDS MUST BE DESTROYED IMMEDIATELY.”
Imperato then commented on the CNN special “In the Footsteps of Bin Laden” and its basic premise that Osama Bin Laden is still an influential figure and is instrumental in the inspiration of terrorist attacks that the US is not tracking.
“In addition, I am demanding the United States of America and its administration and our President George W. Bush to listen to me and to adhere to my requests at once. Enough is enough. It is clear that our administration, the International Monetary Fund, the World Bank, and Kofi Annan are sleeping at the wheel. In accordance with CNN’s “In the Footsteps of Bin Laden”, it is clear as the day is long, that terrorist attacks are still being planned where are we not policing at this time and where are we not looking for terrorists roots of organization.”
The CNN News piece “In the Footsteps of Bin Laden” was hosted by Chief International Correspondent, Christiane Amanpour, and was inspired by CNN Terrorism Analyst Peter Bergen and his book “The Osama Bin Laden I Know”.
After speaking on Bin Laden, Imperato focused his remarks towards Yemen.
“YEMEN. I call on the administration and the rest of the world to immediately block the reelection of the existing leadership in Yemen. With Election Day coming soon, I can assure you that the ‘Footsteps of Bin Laden’ show the stopover in Aden and his connection with Yemen. The fact is that the Yemen leadership is a two-faced leadership with no democracy and that the United States of America has done nothing about it.”
Imperato strongly spoke that Yemen will be the place where terrorism will find a home to expand into all of Africa and the world.
