For_Immediate_Release:
Monroe, MI. October 29, 2006. On Sunday November 5 at 10:00 AM the Monroe Church of the Nazarene, located at 3401 S. Custer Rd., will provide a special service for area deer hunters. The “Blessing of the Deer Hunters” will feature a special moment where Senior Pastor Randy Hartman will ask God to bless the efforts of the hunters. “Some churches ask God to bless buildings and rocks,” said Pastor Hartman, “why can’t we ask God to bless Michigan deer hunters? The Michigan Department of Natural Resources points out that this year deer hunters in Michigan will spend a total of more than ten million days hunting for deer. That’s a lot of risk.” In addition to praying for the safety of the hunters it will also ask for their success.
Trophy deer mounts will be displayed in the foyer. Those who attend will be able to sample deer sausage. Casual attire, including the wearing of camouflaged hunting apparel, is encouraged. Questions regarding the event can be directed to the church office at 734-241-7858. Additional information is found on the church web site at www.monroenaz.com.
