Perfectly Formed brings together work in a variety of media from two of the greatest queens of the American d-i-y scene, and when we say ‘d-I-y’ we mean punk rock, make it yourself, small press, hand crafted, rather than two girls who are good at wallpapering

Missy Kulik has been making her small comics for over 15 years and calls herself the “itty bitty knitty kitty girl” thanks to her love of knitting cute creations and her numerous comics about her fluffy white cat Nilla. Missy studied graphic design and has been published in numerous magazines, on record covers and has exhibited widely in the US and internationally. We are pleased to welcome her to here, where she will be showing her comics, illustrations and a collection of her ‘plush’ creations (soft toys to you and me).

Sarah Neuburger has created a world in which thumbprints do battle and clothes pegs become people. For this show she has created ‘The Slumber Party’ a collection of tongue depressors that have been transformed into super cute friends, all snuggling down in their own sleeping bags made from off cuts of clothing. This work is not for the kind of people who use the word ‘’sweet’ as an insult- it is whimsical, delicate and very, very cute. Sarah has an MFA from the School of Visual Arts and has exhibited widely in the US.

For this exhibition the gallery at here will be transformed into a cosy jumbled up kind of space, where fluffy clouds sit on the wall next to clothespin people, where comics and zines will be for sale, alongside one off pieces of art.
