The London Schools and Educational Fair saw the official launch of the Sponsor a class programme in the United Kingdom. The event took place at Olympia, London on 28th & 29th October 2006.

The programme, as well as the product, has received strong interest and a very warm reception. Other exhibitors took the opportunity to collect free samples of the complete Visibility Kit ‘for their children’.

Amongst those who collected samples for analysis were the Metropolitan Police, Territorial Army, Sea Cadets as well as several state and private schools. The Fair co-ordinator, Mr David Mukasa expressed his interest by personally demonstrating the Kit to several VIP’s visiting the stand. Other demonstrations showed the variance between external light source and locally generated light.

International visitors to the stand included a family with origins in Canada, their three children excitedly collecting the free Visibility Kits. Another teacher from an independent school commented “I am taking my class on a cycling tour and this is perfect for their visual safety requirements”.

The programme, created by Safe Light and operated in the United Kingdom by UK Euro Partner, aims to distribute the Visibility Kit, free of charge, to every school child in the United Kingdom through the Sponsor a class programme, within the next 3-4 years.
