Doug Stanhope announced on July 9, 2006 that he would run for president in 2008 as a Libertarian. Phil Kuhlenbeck is looking to be his V.P. Choice.

For_Immediate_Release:

Today via his MySpace site (www.myspace.com/pjkuhlenbeck) Phil Kuhlenbeck started a grass roots appeal to 2008 United States Libertarian Presidential Candidate Doug Stanhope.

Kuhlenbeck stated, "Our country is now so deeply divided that a huge number of people, and vast sections of the mainstream media, are actually rooting for the United States to lose a war. That's
not a wild accusation; it's a simple fact, as anyone who's been paying the least bit of attention understands."

With this in mind Kuhlenbeck and in an effort to be on the ticket with Stanhope he has started personally asking people to contact Doug Stanhope at the following website: www.myspace.com/stanhope08 and lobby for Kuhlenbeck. Posting reads: "Please email Doug Stanhope and let him know I should be his Vice Presidential Running Mate! "

Kuhlenbeck's more inspirational political discourse have propelled him at warp speed from obscurity to superstardom, indicated for the first time yesterday that he was considering a run for the vice presidency in 2008.

The Texas resident, whose compelling life story and warm intelligence make him one of the rare people who appeals to Americans of all ideological persuasions, told a television interviewer he was no longer opposed to a VP slot.

Even that tentative expression of interest will likely to have an electrifying effect on a country clearly tired of the ideological shouting matches that have left the country divided, scared and ill-informed about the crises raging around the globe.

Kuhlenbeck's pragmatic approach to coalition-building is also a powerful lure in an election season marked by highly personal, often outrageous attacks by struggling Republican incumbents against their Democratic adversaries.

Kuhlenbeck has been promoting his workshop, The Nine Synergies, and capitalizing on the attention to promote his Pro-Constitution agenda.

Kuhlenbeck most certainly carries some of the same sort of charisma that propelled a young John F. Kennedy into the vice presidency nomination in 1956. He has known both poverty and privilege.

Kuhlenbeck likes to keep the focus on solutions, emphasising all the things that bind Americans, rather than divide, us.

The biggest obstacle, though, remains Doug Stanhope, whom Kuhlenbeck regards as an important mentor and ally.
