STONINGTON, CT – NOVEMBER 21, 2006; Indie-rock label AMERICAN LAUNDROMAT RECORDS has announced plans to release 7” vinyl split singles featuring new and previously unreleased tracks by their roster of artists and well-regarded indie-rockers.
Marrying old-school with new-school, American Laundromat will release 7” vinyl split singles for their fans and true audiophiles who prefer the warm sound of vinyl, but also make the tracks available on iTunes (exclusively) for those who prefer digital releases.
All singles (45 rpm) will be pressed on the highest quality vinyl for excellent sound reproduction, have a small hole, and feature original sleeve art designs. All singles will have a very limited pressing (only 500 hand-numbered copies worldwide) so these are sure to become prized possessions in any collection.

DIVINE CANDY: a limited edition blue vinyl split featuring THE CAULFIELD SISTERS covering The Jesus and Mary Chain's "Some Candy Talking" live, and French indie-rocker JULIE PEEL covering The Breeders "Divine Hammer". Sleeve art was done by renowned Minneapolis rock-poster designer Lonny Unitus (Liz Phair, The Decemberists, John Doe), and mastering for vinyl was done by Sean Glonek at SRG Studios (Frank Black, Kristin Hersh, The Dresden Dolls). This is a limited edition release (only 500 hand-numbered copies worldwide).

SO LONG CITY SKIES: a limited edition black vinyl split featuring brand new (never-released) original tracks by indie-rock legend JOHN P. STROHM (Blake Babies, Antenna, Lemonheads), and Boston-based DYLAN IN THE MOVIES. Mastering for vinyl was done by Sean Glonek at SRG Studios (Matthew Sweet, Frank Black, Kristin Hersh), and the sleeve was designed exclusively by Rhode Island illustrator Melinda Rainsberger. It's a limited pressing (only 500 hand-numbered copies worldwide).
7” vinyl singles can be purchased directly from American Laundromat Records via their website or myspace page, and through Carrot Top and Parasol. Suggested retail of singles will vary ($5.00 - $6.00) depending on artist, number of songs, and color of vinyl. iTunes downloads will be a standard $0.99 per track and available a few weeks after the vinyl single is released.
American Laundromat Records is an indie-rock label based out of Southeastern, CT. Founded by music gurus Joe Spadaro & Sean T. Rayburn, the label is best known for their popular 2004 compilation "High School Reunion - a tribute to those great 80's films" which featured indie-rockers such as Frank Black, Kristin Hersh, Matthew Sweet, The
