Commerce Township, MI December 1, 2006 -- Virtual charity has come of age with the launch of a new online shopping mall dedicated to generating funds to support children's charities. 100% of the net profits are given away to charities that participate.

The shopping mall title is "Children Make Every Shop Important," and can be found at www.cmesi.com. The website generates funds from merchant advertising, which is then turned into donations for children's charities.

The founder of Children Make Every Shop Important, Paul Gustafson said, “This website was created with the sole purpose of generating long-term fundraising for children's charities. There are literally millions of children in need of our help and support, and now socially conscious shoppers have a way of turning their normal online shopping into donations for children's charities at no cost to them. Children's charities have everything to gain from participating in the program. It is a win for everyone concerned, especially the children."

Hundreds of top merchants are online including Old Navy, Home Depot, GAP, Circuit City, Snapfish, Best Buy, Oriental Trading Company, Overstock.com, ToysRUs, BabiesRUs, Amazon.com, eBay, Office Depot, Walmart, Target, Gift Certificates.com, and so much more. It’s not much different from how you currently shop online. The only change is that you must begin your shopping at www.cmesi.com, click on the merchant’s name or logo, and shop as usual with them on their website.

Gustafson continued, “In addition to having fantastic merchants, we’ve got great coupons, exclusive specials and free shipping offers for your favorite merchants, making it even more desirable to start your shopping at www.cmesi.com.”

Current children’s charities participating in receiving donations include World Vision, Boys and Girls Club, Cure Childhood Cancer, Create Now, and many more.

"We welcome and encourage all interested children's charities to participate. Any 501(c)(3) children’s charity may participate in receiving donations from the mall. We ask that the charity contact us at charity@cmesi.com and provide us with a charity description to include on our website.” Gustafson said.
