Parents Can Now Receive Feedback Regarding The Care Their Nannies Are Providing
New York, NY, October 19, 2006 –An Assistant District Attorney in New York City, who works in the Child Abuse and Sex Crimes Bureau, has developed a method whereby parents can receive feedback on the care their nannies are giving their children.
Wouldn’t you want to know if your nanny was being inattentive or abusive toward your child? Until now, there was no way a good Samaritan could reliably track down the unsuspecting parents to notify them. HowsMyNanny.com is an innovative and simple to use service that gives parents who employ nannies the ability to ensure quality care even when they are not there. “It’s so difficult as a parent to leave your child in the care of another. Any reassurance that your nanny is doing a good job will give parents the extra peace of mind they deserve.” said Jill Starishevsky, the Assistant District Attorney and mother of two, who developed the website.
A small “license plate” with the HowsMyNanny.com website and a unique identifying number is attached to a child’s stroller. The license plate enables a concerned citizen to report abuse to the parent through the website. In order to report an “event” to the child’s parents, a concerned citizen visits HowsMyNanny.com, inputs that child’s unique license plate number, describes the incident they observed and the parent is notified via email. The good Samaritan could even choose to remain anonymous.
