For_Immediate_Release:
This sequence of sonnets that invert, tumble and chatter around each other, making as much sense upside-down as right way up, and slotted into each other in promiscuous abandon, was written by the poet R.C. Appleton during a sojourn near the fleshpots of the East, in Ayutthaya, Thailand, which is not very far from Bangkok and Pattaya of erotic fame.
Have you ever seen anyone write something, which makes perfect sense, and then reverse the order of the words or sentences and still have it make perfect, if slightly different, sense? Rosemary Charlotte Appleton has done this with the sonnet. Her love sonnets are just as good backwards as forwards! She has also found a way of mixing one sonnet up with another and still have the whole thing work just as well backwards as forwards, inside out, and upside down! So if you know someone whose heart has recently been turned inside out, or whose life has been turned upside down by falling in or out of love, perhaps these sonnets will be helpful.
Rosemary Charlotte Appleton is a published poet whose poetry – and sonnets - have shared pages in the most reputable literary journals in England with such eminent writers as John Betjeman and Elizabeth Jennings. She lives in London, England when not travelling all over the world teaching English and working as an editor and journalist. Her last non-freelance job was in Changhua, Taiwan, as an English editor. Her travels and international experience inform her writing as does her education - she speaks five languages, three of them quite fluently.
Rosemary has been published internationally as a poet in some of the world's most eminent literary journals and works as a journalist, English teacher and translator as she travels slowly around the world. Her last aventure was two years in Taiwan.
