For_Immediate_Release:

The iPod is one of the most popular digital devices in the world, with Apple's MP3 player selling more than 100 million units worldwide since its debut in 2001. The fervent passion that American consumers show for the device has earned Apple the label of a "cult brand".

Naturally many businesses are trying to take advantage of the iPod's success and feed off its high-tech, youthful and innovative image. One example is Hyundai Department Store, whose branch in Mokdong in western Seoul has increased the size of its iPod store eightfold from 8.2 sq.m to 66 sq.m. It's unprecedented for a department store to allocate such a large space to such a small electronic device.

"The interior design is quite bold to attract young shoppers. We're aiming at creating the impression of a digital cultural center with the iPod," a Hyundai Department Store official said.
A new trend in the fashion industry is clothing that's specially adapted for the music player. Eremenegildo Zegna has created the iJacket, which has a pocket for the device and control buttons on the sleeves. Last fall Levi's released its Red Wire jeans, or the so-called "iPod jeans."

In the auto industry, BMW, Volkswagen and Ford have all released cars equipped with with sound systems that can hook up to the iPod. One specific product has now influenced the design and features of other products that don't seem related to each other.
