In my life, I’ve dreamed of becoming a professional sport player. I actually had the opportunity to play any pro league sport, I desired.
Let me tell you about my athletic achievements: during my 7 years of playing baseball, I earned three M.V.P. trophies as a pitcher. During my five years of playing football, I earned two M.V.P. trophies as a quarterback. I’ve even experienced signing my name on a few high school student’s books and papers after playing basketball in Buder Gym. My boxing skills were top notch also.
God is the one who provides different levels of talents and skills to each. Not to sound so prideful, but there are millions of athlete’s in the world, whom God did not supply their brain with such talents and skills that were given to mine. For example, how many quarterbacks do you know that can throw the football down the field, with either arm, more than 30 yards, and have great accuracy? Also, how many basketball payers do you know that can shoot three pointers with either arm, and have great accuracy? The same two-hand talent applies in my baseball pitching skills too. Since both of my arms are like identical twins in sports, then imagine my boxing skills. I’ve played sports for more than 15 years, and I’ve been watching athlete’s play for more than 20 years, and still I haven’t seen an evenhanded sport player yet. Nevertheless, God is the talent and skill giver, and drugs are the talent and skill destroyer.
One day, I was getting my brain high on drugs. My heart stopped for 11 minutes, and I went into a coma for ten days. For a total of 8 months, 3 hospitals became my home. Because of my personal drug usage, I suffered what is called, “brain damage”. From the brain injury, my leg has suffered paralysis (left leg knee down).
I thought that my drug or chemical usage would only be marijuana and alcohol. However, after experiencing 5 or 6 years of smoking marijuana and drinking alcohol, my substance usage went from one drug to the next. Throughout the years, my brain experienced several different drug products. Now I am left with only these words to say, “I Did Not Know” drugs would destroy my dreams, and damage my talent and skill operator (brain).
