"Brazil has been chosen as the venue for the CANEUS 2008 Conference - the World's premier conference on Micro-Nano-Technologies (MNT) for Aerospace Applications," announced Dr. Milind Pimprikar, the Chairman of the International CANEUS Organization.

The CANEUS 2008 Conference will be held November 9-14, 2008, in the city of São José dos Campos, located in the state of São Paulo, Brazil's thriving hub of aerospace and defense activities, and home of both the Brazilian aeronautics giant, Embraer S.A., and the Air Force R&D Center and its General-Command for Aerospace Technology, confirmed Rosane Argou Marques, Project Manager, from the Brazilian Agency for Industrial Development, and Col. Dr. Carlos Fernando Rondina Mateus, the IIEAv's Vice-Director for Technology.

The decision to select Brazil as the venue for the CANEUS 2008 Conference was made by the CANEUS Board of Directors, which noted the strong commitment made by the Government of Brazil and the Brazilian aerospace industry to the rapid and cost-effective infusion of MNT into aerospace and defense systems. The International CANEUS Organization congratulates Brazil as a nation, and in particular, key Brazilian organizations: the ABDI, Air Force and Embraer S.A., for taking a leadership role in hosting the unique, global CANEUS Conference in Brazil.

Col.
