Push Play, a rock/pop band from Long Island, has won the Best Band Of Long Island Contest for Long Island Press Magazine! Long Island Press is a prominent, free alternative newsweekly serving Long Island. In winning "Best Band", the independent and unsigned Push Play beat out the likes of major label acts such as Brand New and Straylight Run, among others. Push Play also recently sold out The Fillmore at Irving Plaza for their CD release party. Push Play sold out of their 1,100 tickets to Irving Plaza/The Fillmore within weeks of the concert announcement! With a dynamic and thrilling performance, Push Play excited their fans and music industry personnel as well as selling over 2,500 copies of their debut CD titled "Deserted." "Deserted" was produced and engineered by Long Island native producer/engineer Robert "Void" Caprio utilizing Push Play's private studio as well as The Music Palace, W. Hempstead for mixing and Sterling Sound, NYC for mastering.
