Baby Boomer Women will discuss issues during televised town hall meeting in Daytona Beach, Florida.

For_Immediate_Release:

Issues affecting baby boomer women will be brought to the forefront during a televised Town Hall Meeting in Daytona Beach, Florida on April 18, 2008. The program is being called Boomer Women: Having Our Say.

The forum, which is being televised by PBS Station WCEU-TV15, will consist of a panel of nationally recognized female boomer advocates who will address topics such as health care and caring for aging parents, financial matters, entrepreneurship, reinventing yourself after 40, as well as the emotional and physical impact of growing older.

The town hall meeting coincides with the First Annual Baby Boomer Girlfriends Retreat scheduled for April 18-20 at the Hilton Oceanfront Resort. Women from around the country are expected to gather for a weekend of education, entertainment and empowerment. “This trail-blazing event is being created to offer mature women a total empowerment experience,” says baby boomer expert and author Beverly Mahone, whose company, BAM Enterprises, is sponsoring the three-day affair. “After 40, our needs, wants and desires change. This is the weekend where women can throw caution to the wind and do something just for us.”

Mahone says the weekend will be filled with lots of activities in addition to the town hall meeting. An Over 40 pa-jamming party is planned and celebrity baby boomer Bern Nadette Stanis, who played Thelma in the TV sitcom Good Times, will be a featured speaker.
