This is Danette’s third time attending these workshops and she left the seminar very satisfied. The seminars are offered to help the Tourism Industry expand their business.

In these seminars, offered by Todd Lucier across Ontario, Danette explains, “You learn how to give the customer what they need to make their travel experience the best it can be. The market is always changing and people know what they want. As Ontario cottage resort owners, we have to be able to tell them that our destination can provide them with the entertainment they are looking for.”

Niche Marketing is key for tourist operators trying to help tourists fulfil their needs. A niche market is a small or narrow group of potential customers within the larger market.

There are many speciality Ontario travel companies that cater exclusively to the specific needs of just about every tourist in the world. Tourism operators in Northern Ontario need to get on board and tap into these groups.

The questions that are most often asked before you go on vacation are: Where can we go? Does the area offer the attractions we are looking for?

Most tourists know what they want to do while on vacation. The question is can you as a tourist operator supply the information they need so that they will stay at your facility. If customers are happy with the entertainment and attractions that your area has to offer then their next step will be to book their accommodations with you.
