At every inkling of an event, Google.com sports a decorative logo above their search form. But for Easter? Not a thing!
Google even sported flowers for spring for 2 days before Easter, but by midnight, the flowers were gone.
It seems to me that Google has gone entirely out of their way to make a statement - Easter doesn't exist.
No Easter bunnies, or decorative eggs, not even so much as a pastel letter.
There was no need for a cross, or an empty tomb reference. Just acknowledgement that today is Easter. An important holiday for many, both religious and not religious. In fact, a family holiday.
It's the spring Halloween, if you will. Children with baskets collecting small eggs full of coins and candy. Some even wear Easter costumes and capes.
I think this was a rather poor decision on Google's part and I anticipate next year's Easter logo.
