bA real patient story of Percutaneous Nephrolithotomy in India

For_Immediate_Release:

I am Arnie from Canada. I was suffering from kidney stones in my urinary tract. But I got relief by Percutaneous Nephrolithotomy in India through INDIANHEALTHGURU. Five years before I discovered the symptoms of kidney stones. I ignored it and do not care about it. But pain was increasing day by day. I consulted my doctor about this problem. He told me about Percutaneous Nephrolithotomy, the best solution. is a procedure for removing medium-sized or larger renal calculi (kidney stones) from the patient’s urinary tract by means of an nephroscope passed into the kidney through a track created in the patient’s back. PCNL was first performed in Sweden in 1973 as a less invasive alternative to open surgery on the kidneys. The term “percutaneous” means that the procedure is done through the skin. Nephrolithotomy is a term formed from two Greek words that mean “kidney” and “removing stones by cutting.”

Purpose

The purpose of PCNL is the removal of renal calculi in order to relieve pain, bleeding into or obstruction of the urinary tract, and/or urinary tract infections resulting from blockages. Kidney stones range in size from microscopic groups of crystals to objects as large as golf balls. Most calculi, however, pass through the urinary tract without causing problems. Renal calculi are formed when the urine becomes supersaturated (overloaded) with mineral compounds that can form stones. This supersaturation may occur because the patient has low urinary output, is excreting too much salt, or has very acid urine. Urolithiasis is the medical term for the formation of kidney stones; the word is also sometimes used to refer to disease conditions associated with kidney stones.

Benefits

Large and abnormally shaped stones can usually be removed in one sitting, short hospitalization and less recovery time. You can return to your normal daily activities in a couple of weeks.

Risks

Failure of the procedure - Failure to remove the stone(s) in the first attempt may warrant a repeat Percutaneous Nephrolithotomy procedure. Excessive bleeding Hematoma formation Infection - Infection may develop at the Percutaneous Nephrolithotomy site or in the urinary tract. Injury and perforation of the bowel

He also added that Percutaneous Nephrolithotomy in India would be a sensible decision. They will offer you an affordable price. Medical tourism of India is opening its feathers to fly high. Equipped with the cutting edge technology, the health care sector in India has geared up its speed to be one of the most flourishing industries. The privatization of the healthcare sector has carried with it excellent facilities, brilliant improvement in infrastructure and world-class treatments. Offering an array of superb quality hospitals and treatments at very low cost, now India proves itself to be one of the best places for the medical treatment in the world. To add on, India is one of the largest pharmaceutical industries in the world. I confirmed my medical trip for this surgery and flied to India.

That tourism company arranged my whole tour for Nephrolithotomy in India. My surgery was performed under general anesthesia and taken about 3 - 4 hours. An incision in the skin, about 1/2 inch in length is made in the flank area, overlying the kidney. A thin tube (nephrostomy tube)was passed through the incision under x-ray guidance to visualize the stone. A Lithotripter was used to break the stone and the stone fragments are then removed through the tube. The nephrostomy tube was left in the kidney to allow easy drainage of urine, blood and residual fragments of stone. A stent was placed to ensure patency of the ureter and facilitate drainage from the kidney to the urinary bladder. A catheter was placed to drain urine from urinary bladder. I spend the next few hours in the recovery room under observation for immediate post-operative complications after the surgery. All thanks to INDIANHEALTHGURU. God bless them!! Nephrolithotomy in India was my best decision.
