Blog for Dog Lovers
Urban Dog Shares Life and Spills Owner’s Secrets
by Cathy Goodwin, Ph.D.

April 2008 – Seattle, WA – Dog lovers everywhere are enjoying a new addition to the blogosphere: www.MidlifeDog.com/blog.

The blog shares adventures of Gracie, a medium-sized mutt adopted by her owner, Cathy, and transplanted to downtown Seattle. Gracie gives the (pardon the expression) scoop on her fashion-challenged owner, an aging nerdy writer type who spends a lot of time hanging out in the local dog park.

“It’s a good thing you’re a good copywriter,” Gracie warns her owner, “because you couldn’t make a living with your domestic skills.”

Gracie gets treats, grooming and daycare, but she doesn’t wear a coat. “I’m the only naked dog you’ll see on a cold winter day,” she says, but adds, “Cathy is not exactly into fashion herself. Her idea of dressing up is wearing her best pair of shorts in summer. And on really special occasions, she’ll break out a new pair of running shoes.”

Gracie’s job is to keep Cathy’s life interesting and get her through a rare bad mood. And she knows when to stay out of the way: “Uh-oh. Mom’s got her copywriting music on. But she’ll feel so guilty I’ll get an extra trip with the dog walker.”

Cathy recently started adding photos to the blog, so readers meet the two resident cats Gracie dismisses as “useless parasites” and the park regulars. Dog and owner welcome comments at

As Gracie concluded a recent post, “My mom needs to get a life. But at least she makes sure I have a good one.”

Saturday, February 16, at 9 AM Pacific Time (12 Noon Eastern/NY).

Coaches, consultants, and accountants will discover easy-to-apply strategies on how to put up their first, next or greatest website. Participants will learn how to level the playing field when dealing with web designers, hosting companies, and copywriters. They will learn simple strategies that can save them thousands of dollars in unnecessary design work.

This teleseminar guides listeners through a step-by-step process to get started on their web site right away. They will get answers to questions like, “What should I do first?” and “How do I choose a web designer?” and “How do I create a site that really attracts clients?”

“Many feel overwhelmed by the challenge of developing a site to showcase their expertise. Some professionals invest thousands of dollars in sites that actually sabotage their business success and they want to avoid those mistakes. My goal is to show them how to take control of their web presence once and for all,” Goodwin comments.

Register for the teleseminar at http://www.copy-cat-copywriting.com/webclass.html Space is limited. Registered participants can access the session from any landline or they can listen in directly through the webcast. An mp3 recording will be available only to those who pre-register.

With a PhD in marketing, Cathy Goodwin spent 20 years as a professor of business. Based in Seattle, Dr. Goodwin attracts clients and sells information products to buyers from all over the world from her website.
